One of the strange ways how adware or publicity software manifests is through all kinds of toolbars that are installed in the browser without authorization, be it Firefox or Internet Explorer.
Some of these toolbars, apart from having dozens of useless options, can kidnap the browser and redirect it to other completely unknown URLs as well as modify the results of the search engines.
For now, Toolbar Uninstaller detects and eliminates up to 58 toolbars of different types: some of them harmful and others not so much. It is believed that there are currently some 10,000 circulating on the internet.
The author of the program issues a call from his website to the different internet users to identify the toolbars and communicate them to him so that he can increase the number of supported toolbars.
